ASF is a ‘not-for-profit’ company registered with Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984. It was established in 2005 by Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock (MINFAL) with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). ASF is governed by a private sector-led an independent board of directors.

ASF have extensive experience in managing  cost-sharing grants and provision of technical assistance support to farmers and agribusiness enterprises, including start-ups, enabling them employ modern techniques & practices and build expertise and market understanding required by a fast-changing economic environment and to improve their productivity, profitability, competitiveness and creditworthiness.
